I'm very close to being completely awesome. Seriously. So I've just hit a little bit of a landmark in my web design journey. I've added commenting features and an RSS feed! It all makes me pretty excited about my web skills. At the beginning of the year I made two resolutions: 1) Learn the benefits of restraint and 2) Update my web skills to make a me a more complete designer.

I've found an awesome new image gallery utilityWell, I've just gotten around to posting some of the photos that I took at Josh Evans' and MuM's annual Runway For a Cure Fashion Show at the Parliament House in Orlando. I've found a new free little Flash image gallery utility called Simpleviewer. It's a really great light weight XML image gallery. It's incredibly easy to use and it's completely free to use whenever and as many times as you want!

It's been a while, but I'm back!I've been kinda lax about updating, but I'm back with a new project to show. Come Out With Pride 2009 was on October 11 and it was a great time. The final piece of artwork created for the event was the Come Out With Pride Program. The program was created as a part of my duties as art director for Watermark Media. This is also a chance for me to try out this new page-flipping flash utility. Check it out!

Something So Simple... a college flashback!Over the weekend I had decided that it was time to pull out my old marker set and have some fun with them. I didn't realize that the last time that I had used them was in 2004. Inside was a treasure chest of college art projects. Oh the memories! Amongst them was the original ink drawings of a comic book titled Something So Simple thatI had started to create with a short lived--but AWESOME--comic book club called Liberty Comics. Check out the "un-lettered" scans of the book in my Drawing Blogs section. I'm thinking that it's time I revisit that project and see what I can do with it...

It was time fora little face-lift.So I just gave my little site here a new facelift. I enjoy this look much better than the original design. It just looks a lot more well put together. The only drawback so far is the header image on some of the art blogs has a white border around them (EDIT: I totally fixed that little problem as well as tightening up a few other things). I have a way to fix it though... I think. The idea behind it was that the roots growing down around the header graphic were the roots of artistic creativity (paint drips = art). SO essentially, what I'm inferring is that at the roots of creativity lies me... err, my site. I'm expecting my Nobel Peace Prize nomination for it to arrive in the mail any day now..

How I made the Come Out With Pride main imageI've just completed another few ads for Orlando's Come Out With Pride 2009 celebration. They are going with a "Heroes" theme this year and I have to say that I'm quite proud of what I came up with. Nearly the entire ad is something created from just a drawing and some digital painting. I've decided to chronicle the process in the drawing section. The whole process is split up into three sections: Round 1, Round 2, and Round 3. Enjoy!

My very first SECOND update! Hurrah!I've just come home from the movies! I watched Julie & Julia, great movie. Now I'm just sitting here watching the Roast of Joan Rivers and finding things to update my site with. So far I've found my logo/poster design for Dr, Dave's Karaoke Therapy, Zombie-Hand Drawing, and Skeletor.

I've uploaded my very first update! So far, so good! I've just updated the graphic design section with a quick flyer that I created for my friend who's deeply involved with Full Sail's GSA. He had shown me some designs that one of his friends came up with and I decided to take a crack at it as well.

My portfolio site is relaunchedWell, I've decided that my portfolio website is in real need of a makeover. The old design just wasn't doing it for me. I'm not really the most adept web designer, so I created this new site with that in mind. It's main function is to help me grow as a designer. My master vision uses this site as part portfolio, part blog. A "blogfolio" if will. As of this moment there's still a few bits of the old site remaining in the galleries. But hopefully that will all change soon. Poke around and enjoy! |
